Learn the mechanic first, then browse real historical underground tables by map. The School keeps location drops separate from the equipment catalog so players can answer the important question: “what can I dig up here?”

PROGRESSIONEXP + TM EXP on successful finds
01 · COMPLETE LESSON
How drilling actually works
Drilling is not a side decoration: it is a core Trickster progression system connecting exploration, quests, items and TM progression.
Why drill?
Buried items are used for quests, compounds, consumables and progression.
Normal EXP is earned while drilling; historical rules grant TM EXP when an item is successfully found.
Sense-oriented characters are naturally strong drillers because Sense statistics support the mechanic.
Step by step
Equip a drill and move to a field where drilling is allowed.
Activate drilling and choose a point on the ground.
Keep the drill meter above its target line without overflowing the gauge.
Depth rises while drilling; the attempt ends with either an item find or an empty result.
Move to another spot after a finished attempt unless the game signals that the same location may still contain another find.
Depth
Shows how far below the surface the current attempt has reached.
Target line
The gauge must be held beyond this point for the drill to progress.
Drill life
Failed/overfilled attempts consume durability, so drill control matters.
Soil & depth
Every drill has preferred terrain and a maximum depth; the correct drill makes a map easier to excavate.
Crazy Drilling
An advanced drilling mode associated with faster repeated digging.
Pet Item Hunt
Certain pets can be sent to search for drillable items.
Auto-drill pets
Some historical pets had dedicated drilling functions.
01 · THE SYSTEM
How drilling works
Equip a drill, move to a field map and activate drilling. The historical guide uses the D shortcut: your cursor changes, your character moves to the selected point, and the drill meter appears. Keeping the meter controlled continues the dig until the attempt ends or an item is found.
Get a drill.Starter drills come from early progression; other drills historically came from shops, monsters, MyShop, Gacha and events.
Choose compatible ground.Every drill has stage, depth, durability and preferred soil. A map also has its own depth and soil profile.
Control the meter.Hold/click to raise the meter and release to let it fall. The goal is to keep the drilling attempt active.
Find underground items.Drilling gives base EXP; a successful item find also gives TM EXP according to the drill stage.
First Steps connectionGameplay screenshots can later be inserted into this lesson to show the actual Revival drill meter and result animation without changing the data layer.
